The program
How it works
My Town Vibe runs one awards round per county. Residents name the best of their community, neighbors vote, and the winners are published where anyone can find them. It is free for residents and free for businesses, at every step, with no fee to enter, to accept, or to win.
For residents
- Nominate. Pick the places you would send a friend to. One nomination per category.
- Wait for the finalists. When nominations close, the most-named entries in each category become the finalists, and we email you when they are up.
- Vote. Voting runs for several weeks. You may vote once a day in each category.
- See the results. Winners are published on a page of their own, one for every category.
For businesses
- You are entered by your neighbors. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to pay. If people name you, you are on the ballot.
- Confirm you want to take part. If you become a finalist we send you a link to accept. That is the only time we ask you for anything.
- Use the free material. Finalists and winners get a badge for their own website and a press release they can send anywhere, at no charge.
- Buy something to hang up, if you want to. Printed awards and merchandise are the only things that cost money on this site, and nothing about winning depends on buying them.
The schedule
Every county runs on its own calendar, counted from the day its program opens. Nominations run about three weeks, there is a short gap while finalists are named, and voting runs about three weeks after that. The county's own page always shows where it currently stands.
